We first started making gear drives in 2001 with the Inner Demon dual motor design which was based around using two inexpensive car type motors to provide power to a single prop shaft. Our original intent was to produce a gear drive that would offer exceptionally flexibility for gear choices as well as having a built in mounting system and would have the ability of mounting the prop directly on the output shaft so that no prop adapters are required. What we ended up with was actually two gear drives of the same configuration but very different sizes. Our larger original Inner Demon which we designed around the inexpensive brush type car motors of the 550 size, and our smaller Mini Demon which was also made to accept either one or two speed 400 size motors. We soon found that the exceptional flexibility of being able to easily change gear ratios was also very helpful when using higher quality brushless motors and that by using two large brushless motors we were able to produce a power system that was capable of providing 2000 watts or more of power. We also found that our smaller Mini Demon could be attached to a single larger motor by using an adapter plate. we are sure that as you explore the rest of our site you will see why we feel that we have gear drives and complete power systems suitable for almost any application from park flyers on up to 1/3 scale airobatic aircraft and that with our EZ mount system that comes with every gear drive makes it an extremely easy process to convert to clean and quiet electric power. For more information until we complete our web site, call or e-mail us. Thank You!!
